This Roulstone website is an attempt at bringing all the geneaology information together to a central focal point to help Roulstone family members research their ancestors lives. So far the direct line of my family ancestors have been mainly based in the counties of Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire, Yorkshire and Derbyshire, however, there maybe other family members in other local counties.

As there have been different spellings of our name over the centuries, records from different Roulstone families have been included in our Data/Records Area, so even if you are not related to us, there may still be some information here which is of interest to you, and may help you in your quest to find your ancestors.

If you have comments or a question about the Roulstone family, please use the Requests Area to show your questions for others to see, this way you are more likely to get a response. We are in the posession of the 1881 UK Census, and are prepared to look-up any Roulstone surnames for free. Please use the Requests Area only for these requests as requests by email will not be accepted.

Over the centuries, the Roulstone name has had different variations of its spelling such as: Roulstone, Roulston, Rolstone, Rolston, Ralstone, Ralston, Rawleston, Rolleston, Rollestone and Rowlston. When you are searching for information from older sources, you should always bear this in mind and not discount a record just because the surname is not spelt exactly as you now know it.

In researching my family history, I have come accross information which is connected to my family name. The Data/Records area is an area which I use to backup all my data and data which I feel I may need in the future. If you wish to look over my shoulder at this area, I have no objections. Currently the status of this area is Open Access
