Samuel Harris is described as a Publican on the 1851 census and on his daughters (Mary Jane Harris) marriage certificate. Samuel and his family lived at The Bay Tree pub, Denchworth Road, Grove, Berkshire. The pub is still open today.
Samuel is also shown to be the son of John Harris, a Carrier by profession at the time of Samuels Marriage. Jane Hobbis is described as being a Dressmaker on the 1851 census.
Jane Hobbis is shown to be the daughter of John Hobbis, a Farmer by profession, by details shown on her marriage certificate.

The 1881 census shows Davids profession to be a Boot and Shoemaker living in the Main Street, Grove, Berkshire. At the time of the 1881 census he was a lodger with the family of William Giles.

Notes

There is some sort of connection between the
Giles family and Mary Jane Harris, as at the time of the 1881 census, there
was a Sarah Giles Bording with John and Mary Jane Roulstone.
The is also a George Giles registered as a witness on John and Mary Jane
Roulstone's wedding certificate.
One possibility is that William Giles's wife, Jane (age 60, born in Grove on 1881 census)
is the re-married widow of Samuel Harris, however this needs further research.
