Notes

The 1841 census shows Thomas , aged 40, and Hannah aged 40, to be living at Courthouse Green, Foleshill . Thomas' occupation was as an Agricultural Labourer, and Hannah's to be a weaver
The 1841 census also shows a Thomas Howes, aged 70 living at a different address in Courthouse Green. This Thomas is thought to be the father of Thomas b.1801., and the grandfather of Thomas b. 1820, and James b.1825, who were living with him and his wife Hannah, aged 60.
Thomas, aged 70 in the 1841 census was not born in Warwickshire. He was married twice, firstly to Sarah - Banns 24.02.1794 Howes, Thomas of Foleshill to Yardley, Sarah (x) of Foleshill wit. John Cramp, William Hutchinson.
and secondly to Hannah - Banns 10.06.1801 Howis, Thomas, of Foleshill to Johnson, Hannah (x) of Foleshill Wit. Phoebe Goode (x), William Smith.
Hannah b. 1801 was the daughter of Joseph Orton who was married by Banns on 13th June 1797 at St Laurences, Foleshill to Elizabeth Weston of Foleshill, Their witnesses were Richard Roskill and William Hutchenson.
Joseph and Elizabeth had the following children: Hannah, Mercy, Esther & Matthew were baptised together on 14.12.1806. Selina 02.07.1815, Mark 08.02.1815, Eliza 25.02.1820
