There are many Roulstone, Rolston, Roulston, Rolleston families in the Lincolnshire and Leicester, Nottingham, Staffordshire and Derby areas.

My particular branch is a Nottingham set going back to about 1690 in Radcliffe on Trent. I believe there may be two roots to these families both coming from villages called Rolleston. There is one in staffordshire and one near Newark. The staffordshire family certainly inherited land in Radcliffe on Trent and moved there in the 1500''s probably the root of my tree. However, there are others spread east of this right across lincolnshire as well - I have no real info on them but lots on the nottingham group
