My great-great grandfather, Alexander Harper, married Ellen Roulston in 1854, in US, I believe, possibly in Philadelphia.
I think she emigrated in 1846. Their daughter, Helen, married Thomas Drysdale, in 1895.
Does this seem to be a link?
