I'm researching my 2nd gt grandfather William Rowlston born c 1841 in Cotgrave. He married Elizabeth Petch in Allerson, York in 1869 and moved to Sutton In Ashfield between 1871 and 1881. His marriage certificate states his father as William Rowlston (labourer). I can identify him (possibly) as the grandson of John and Ann Rowlston in 1851 but stuggling to find anything earlier. Can anyone help or point me in the right direction.
