A Statutory List of the Inhabitants of Melbourne and Kings Newton, Derbs in 1695.

This list was "for assessing rates and duties upon marriages, births & burials & upon bachelors & widowers, for the term of 5 years, for the carrying on of the war against France, with vigour". Each person was taxed 4 shillings and each marriage 2 shillings. The families of interest were as follows:
